Analog Simulation/Env Automation CAD Engineer will join the team of CAD engineers to develop, maintain, and enhance custom analog power intent methodology and circuit ERC solutions for transistor level analysis on Analog, RF, and mixed-signal designs. You will solve issues related to transistor level simulations using Spice simulators on command-line and Virtuoso environments while guiding designers through tool issues in ADE, XL, Maestro, and OCEAN. Required skills include proficiency in Perl, Python, TCL, SKILL, or Shell for automation. The work focuses on solving simulation accuracy, speed, and capacity issues across various technology nodes, involving complex circuit modeling, netlisting, and data processing to support advanced silicon development for analog and mixed-signal applications.

What you'll do

Develop and maintain custom analog power intent methodology and circuit ERC solutions for transistor level analysis.
Solve technical issues related to transistor level simulations for Analog, RF, and Microwave applications.
Create automation flows using Python, Perl, TCL, or SKILL to support rapid design needs.
Architect and develop next-generation in-house EDA CAD flow solutions for analog and mixed-signal simulations.
Guide designers in resolving tool issues within the Virtuoso and ADE environments.
Establish methodologies for SPICE simulation and modeling techniques across various technology nodes.
Analyze waveforms and process results data to improve circuit design accuracy and speed.
Evaluate EDA tool products and drive vendors to meet specific design requirements.

What we're looking for

Bachelor of Science degree and 10+ years of relevant industry experience.
Experience in SPICE simulation and design environments for Analog, RF, and Microwave circuits.
Proficiency in programming and scripting using Perl, Python, TCL, SKILL, or Shell.
Strong written and verbal communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Knowledge of circuit simulations with Analog/RFIC design and various technology nodes (preferred).
Experience with Cadence ADE environment including Virtuoso, PDK, CDF, and OCEAN tools (preferred).
Knowledge of various Spice simulators such as Spectre, Hspice, ADS, and others (preferred).
Expertise in advanced simulation techniques like Harmonic Balance, S-parameters, and Monte Carlo analysis (preferred).
