The Analog Design Lead - Custom Silicon Management joins the Custom Silicon Management team to drive technical engagements between internal teams and external suppliers. The lead will collaborate with systems and platform teams to establish requirements while leading efforts to develop, integrate, characterize, and test silicon. Key responsibilities include driving improvements in analog design methodology, managing development of new process technologies and architectures, and ensuring designs are verified for long-term reliability. The role requires expertise in designing analog and mixed-signal IC blocks, along with experience in FPGA emulation, silicon bring-up, characterization, and debug. This position solves critical hardware challenges to deliver production-worthy silicon on a predictable schedule for mobile products.

What you'll do

Establish silicon requirements by working with Systems and Platform teams.
Lead the development, integration, characterization, and testing of silicon components.
Deliver production-worthy first-revision silicon that meets all system requirements and schedules.
Drive continuous improvements in analog design methodology to ensure high-quality first silicon.
Manage external vendors to develop new process technologies and next-generation circuit designs.
Ensure all designs are properly verified, validated, and tested for long-term reliability.
Manage project schedules while supporting multi-functional engineering efforts across various teams.

What we're looking for

Bachelor's degree and 10+ years of relevant industry experience.
Experience designing analog and/or mixed-signal IC blocks.
PhD and 5+ years of experience managing design teams.
Experience with multiple tape-outs reaching production with first pass silicon.
Ability to drive and improve design methodology to achieve high quality first silicon.
Experience with FPGA emulation, silicon bring-up, characterization, and debug.
Ability to collaborate with multi-functional teams and external vendors across geographical boundaries.
