As the Analog Design Lead - Custom Silicon Management, you will join the Custom Silicon Management team to drive technical engagements between internal teams and external suppliers. You will play a strategic role in developing, integrating, characterizing, and testing silicon for Health, Camera, and Connectivity programs. Your daily responsibilities include establishing silicon requirements with Systems and Platform teams, managing development schedules, and driving improvements in analog design methodology to ensure high-quality first revision production. You will collaborate with vendors to manage new process technologies and next-generation architectures while ensuring designs are verified for long-term reliability. The role requires expertise in designing analog and mixed-signal IC blocks, as well as experience with FPGA emulation, silicon bring-up, characterization, and debugging to resolve complex architectural and implementation challenges across various product lines.

What you'll do

  • Establish silicon requirements by working with Systems and Platform teams.
  • Lead the development, integration, characterization, and testing of silicon components.
  • Deliver production-worthy first-revision silicon that meets all system requirements and schedules.
  • Drive continuous improvements in analog design methodology to ensure high-quality first silicon.
  • Manage external vendors to develop new process technologies and next-generation architectures.
  • Ensure designs are properly verified, validated, and tested for long-term reliability.
  • Manage project schedules while supporting multi-functional engineering efforts across various programs.

What we're looking for

  • Bachelor's degree and 10+ years of relevant industry experience.
  • Experience designing analog and/or mixed-signal IC blocks.
  • PhD and 5+ years of experience managing design teams (preferred).
  • Experience with multiple tape-outs reaching production with first pass silicon (preferred).
  • Ability to drive and improve design methodology to achieve high quality first silicon (preferred).
  • Experience with FPGA emulation, silicon bring-up, characterization, and debug (preferred).
  • Ability to work with multi-functional teams across geographical boundaries to resolve architectural and implementation challenges (preferred).
