What you'll do

  • Design and build platform-level frameworks, daemons, and system services for on-device sensing.
  • Develop algorithms to process real-time signals and extract meaningful context from sensor data.
  • Translate machine learning models into production systems in collaboration with ML researchers.
  • Build and optimize ML inference pipelines that operate efficiently under mobile resource constraints.
  • Implement real-time audio processing, including capture pipelines, buffering, and signal handling.
  • Develop privacy-preserving sensing features using on-device inference and data minimization.
  • Design and deliver public or internal APIs and SDKs for developers across Apple platforms.
  • Optimize system performance through advanced concurrency, multithreading, and memory management.

What we're looking for

  • BS/MS in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • 6+ years of experience in client-side or platform-level development on Apple platforms.
  • Proficiency in Swift and Objective-C for developing production-quality frameworks, daemons, or system APIs.
  • Systems expertise including concurrency, multithreading, memory management, and performance tuning.
  • Experience with CoreML or equivalent on-device ML inference.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to operate well in ambiguity.
  • Real-time audio processing, feature extraction, and training/fine-tuning ML models (preferred).
  • Expertise in OS stack debugging, energy efficiency, privacy-preserving sensing, and API design (preferred).
