AIML Machine Learning Manager, Red Teaming - Responsible AI and Safety

What you'll do

• Build and lead a team of red-teaming engineers with sustained ownership of specific feature clusters.
• Set an independent red-teaming agenda focused on active vulnerability discovery rather than standard evaluation.
• Own the coverage strategy for pre-ship qualification, post-ship monitoring, and foundation model red-teaming.
• Define divisions of responsibility with adjacent security teams and coordinate escalation paths for cross-cutting risks.
• Manage external red-teaming partnerships including scoping value, cost, and pipeline integration.
• Define, instrument, and report on red-teaming success criteria to leadership on a recurring basis.
• Provide technical direction on the development of automated red-teaming capabilities.

What we're looking for

• MS or PhD in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Statistics, or a related field, or an equivalent qualification.
• Experience working with generative models for evaluation and product development with knowledge of common challenges and failures.
• Strong engineering skills and experience writing production-quality code in Python.
• Deep experience in foundation model-based AI programming and a drive to innovate in this space.
• Experience working with noisy, crowd-based data labels and human evaluations.
• Publication record in relevant conferences such as NeurIPS, ICML, ICLR, or EMNLP (preferred).
• Experience working on Responsible AI and AI Safety (preferred).
• Strong organizational and operational skills working with large, multi-functional, and diverse teams (preferred).
