Your responsibilities include uncovering safety weaknesses through scientific investigation, interpreting real-world usage data, and measuring the effectiveness of deployed mitigations. This role requires a strong foundation in data science, machine learning, and statistical analysis, with proficiency in Python and SQL or similar querying languages. You must also have excellent technical communication skills to convey complex ideas across various teams and be prepared to handle sensitive content. Experience with AI-powered product usage data and an understanding of fairness and bias issues are highly valued.

What you'll do

What we're looking for

  • MS or PhD in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Statistics, or related field.
  • Strong foundation in data science, analytics, and machine learning methodologies.
  • Proficient in Python and at least one data-querying language (SQL, Spark).
  • Ability to frame research questions and apply statistical tools to real-world data.
  • Excellent technical communication skills for diverse audiences.
  • Experience working with usage data from AI-powered products.
