Day-to-day responsibilities include creating detailed evaluation datasets, conducting high-quality annotations, and performing thorough analyses to assess the impact of AI features on user experience. The ideal candidate has a strong background in machine learning, particularly with generative models like Transformers and LLMs, along with extensive research or deployment experience in responsible AI. Proficiency in NLP and Computer Vision is essential, as is familiarity with top ML venues such as ACL, CHI, CVPR, EMNLP, FAccT, ICML, Interspeech, NeurIPS, and UIST.

What you'll do

  • Develop safety policies for global generative AI products in collaboration with key stakeholders.
  • Conduct thorough evaluations of AI features using thoughtful data sampling and high-quality annotations.
  • Analyze evaluation results to ensure they enhance user experience while upholding Responsible AI values.
  • Work on the creation, curation, and auto-grading of datasets used for evaluating AI feature performance.
  • Stay updated on common challenges and failures in generative models to improve product development.

What we're looking for

  • 3+ years of experience in machine learning with expertise in generative models like Transformers, LLMs, and VLMs.
  • 4+ years of research or product deployment related to responsible AI, including publications in top ML venues.
  • In-depth knowledge of challenges and failures associated with evaluating and developing generative models.
  • PhD, MS, or BS in Computer Science, Machine Learning, or a related field.
  • Experience working in the Responsible AI space and contributing to cross-functional teams.
  • Success in shipping complex AI systems at a global scale.
