TL;DR · AI Systems Security Architect

The AI Systems Security Architect joins the Product Security Office to secure platforms running demanding AI workloads in data center environments. This role involves defining and driving platform-wide security architectures across silicon, firmware, and software while establishing trust boundaries. Key responsibilities include developing attestation architectures involving root of trust and measured boot, performing system-wide threat modeling, and designing secure debug protections for production systems. The candidate will write architecture specifications, manage audit readiness, and utilize AI-assisted engineering tools to accelerate security analysis. Required expertise includes computer architecture, confidential computing, memory encryption, and cryptographic key management. Technical skills include proficiency in C/C++, assembly reading, and familiarity with PCIe, CXL, and GPU architectures. The role addresses the critical challenge of protecting high-scale AI and machine learning workloads within complex hardware and software ecosystems.

What you'll do

  • Define platform-wide security architecture across silicon, firmware, and software for AI and datacenter systems.
  • Design and drive the platform attestation architecture including root of trust and remote verification.
  • Conduct system-wide threat modeling and security analysis across hardware, firmware, and software components.
  • Develop secure debug architectures to protect diagnostic interfaces on production systems.
  • Write technical system architecture specifications for various platform security features.
  • Manage security assessment and audit readiness while integrating findings into the core architecture.
  • Utilize AI-assisted engineering tools to accelerate security analysis, review, and documentation processes.

What we're looking for

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent.
  • Multiple years of experience in platform, system, or product security architecture at a system scope.
  • Deep understanding of computer architecture including CPU, accelerator, SoC systems, memory hierarchy, and datacenter interconnect standards like PCIe and CXL.
  • Expertise in root of trust, secure boot, measured boot, and attestation protocols such as DICE, SPDM, and TPM/TCG concepts.
  • Experience with confidential computing, trusted execution environments, and firmware security including runtime integrity and secure updates.
  • Proficiency in C/C++ and assembly, with experience using AI-assisted and agentic development tooling.
  • Expertise in threat modeling, cryptographic algorithms, key management, and securing AI/ML workloads at datacenter scale.
  • Familiarity with supply-chain integrity (SBOM), hardware security standards (NIST, OCP), and secure debug protection.
