The AI Systems Security Architect joins the Product Security Office to secure platforms running demanding AI workloads. This role involves defining and driving platform-wide security architectures across silicon, firmware, and software for AI and datacenter systems. Key responsibilities include establishing trust boundaries, driving platform attestation architecture—including root of trust, measured boot, and remote verification—and performing system-wide threat modeling. The architect will write specifications for security features, manage secure debug architectures, and utilize AI-assisted engineering tooling. Required technical skills include proficiency in C/C++ and assembly, knowledge of cryptographic algorithms, and experience with confidential computing, memory encryption, and VM isolation. The role addresses the security requirements of AI/ML workloads in modern data centers, focusing on CPU, accelerator, and SoC systems, memory hierarchies, and interconnect standards like PCIe and CXL.
Define platform-wide security architecture across silicon, firmware, and software for AI and datacenter systems.
Drive platform attestation architecture including root of trust, measured boot, and remote verification.
Conduct system-wide threat modeling and security analysis across hardware, firmware, and software components.
Design secure debug architectures and protect debug, test, and diagnostic interfaces on production systems.
Write detailed system architecture specifications for platform security features.
Manage security assessments and audit readiness to close architectural findings.
Implement AI-assisted engineering tooling to accelerate security analysis, review, and documentation.
What we're looking for
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent.
Multiple years' experience in platform, system, or product security architecture with demonstrated ownership at system scope (preferred).
Deep understanding of computer architecture including CPU, accelerator, SoC systems, memory hierarchy, DMA, I/O subsystems, and datacenter interconnects (preferred).
Experience with confidential computing, trusted execution environments, memory encryption, and VM isolation (preferred).
Expertise in root of trust, secure boot, measured boot, and attestation concepts like DICE, SPDM, and TPM/TCG (preferred).
Experience with firmware security including runtime integrity, anti-rollback, secure update, and recovery design (preferred).
Proficient in C/C++ and comfortable reading assembly with fluency in AI-assisted development tooling (preferred).
Experience securing AI/ML workloads at datacenter scale with familiarity with GPU architecture and virtualization (preferred).
