As an AI Security Software Engineer (Starshield), you will join a newly formed team dedicated to developing AI-powered automation and platforms to address pressing national security problems. Your primary responsibilities include designing and building security-critical agents to automate network and systems defense, discovering and fixing infrastructure vulnerabilities, and providing guidance on AI integrations. You will work to improve security posture through direct implementation and recommendations while ensuring AI tools remain highly trusted and secure. The role requires proficiency in software development languages such as Python, C++, or Golang. Key technical competencies include robust software system design, agent engineering, and experience with Kubernetes, CI pipelines, and monitoring. You will apply machine learning to classification and decision problems, specifically identifying malicious activity or inputs within autonomous agents.

Provide guidance and perform testing for AI integrations into new and existing systems.

What we're looking for
Bachelor's degree in computer science or another STEM discipline; OR 2+ years of professional experience in security software development in lieu of a degree.
Experience with one or more software development languages such as Python, C++, or Golang.
Must be a U.S. citizen, national, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee eligible for Department of State authorization.
Ability to successfully obtain and maintain a Top Secret Security Clearance.
