What you'll do

  • Lead the end-to-end AI/ML development process from research and model training to large-scale productization.
  • Integrate ML models into business applications and platforms in partnership with research scientists and engineers.
  • Define research roadmaps and prioritize investments as a cross-functional subject matter expert.
  • Communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders to influence strategic decisions.
  • Develop innovative AI/ML solutions to enhance the content discovery experience for members.
  • Advance the state of the art in computer vision and multimodal learning systems.
  • Engage with the internal and external ML community to contribute to the Netflix brand.

What we're looking for

  • MS or PhD in ML, Computer Science, or related fields.
  • Strong AI/ML foundations with hands-on experience training, evaluating, and deploying vision-language models and multimodal LLM systems.
  • Demonstrated research impact in computer vision and multimodal learning evidenced by publications at top-tier conferences and journals.
  • Strong programming skills in Python and experience with common ML frameworks such as PyTorch or Tensorflow.
  • Proven track record of bringing clarity and leading ambitious roadmaps to solve complex problems.
  • Exceptional communication and collaboration skills to influence strategic decisions with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience in building agentic workflows and systems for multimodal search and understanding (preferred).
