AI and ML Research Scientist

What you'll do

• Develop and move computer vision prototypes toward operational applications.
• Mature algorithms and harden training or inference pipelines for deployment.
• Formulate agentic AI research by surveying the problem space and defining evaluation criteria.
• Execute complex data exploration and analytics projects using Python and Embedded C.
• Operationalize machine learning models through containerization, data architecture, and cloud computing platforms.
• Produce technical content including patents, peer-reviewed papers, and conference presentations.
• Develop predictive models to support time-sensitive policy decisions for maritime and ground missions.

What we're looking for

• Doctorate degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Ability to obtain a Secret clearance.
• Experience driving end-to-end computer vision research and development toward operational applications.
• Experience partnering across engineering and research groups to mature algorithms and harden pipelines for deployment.
• Experience formulating agentic AI as new fundamental research, including surveying and defining research questions.
• Knowledge of hierarchical classification, 2D-3D representation, deep learning, Agentic AI, multi-view geometry, and synthetic data generation.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python and Embedded C.
• Experience establishing evaluation protocols like benchmarks and ablations (preferred); knowledge of domain adaptation, multi-modal models, and robust pose estimation (preferred).
