What you'll do

Lead AI engineering strategy and roadmap development for the L-CAP program.
Design and implement MLOps pipelines for model development, training, and deployment at scale.
Establish AI-augmented development practices and tools to improve engineering productivity and code quality.
Define model governance including versioning, monitoring, and lifecycle management.
Distinguish between AI tools for internal developer productivity and AI features for operational air traffic services.
Develop specific validation and certification approaches for safety-critical aviation systems.
Mentor engineering teams on AI/ML best practices and responsible AI principles.
Integrate AI/ML capabilities into the L-CAP platform architecture to automate mission-critical workflows.

What we're looking for

Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred.
8+ years of AI/ML engineering experience required.
Experience in ML/AI engineering leadership, including team and strategy management.
Proficiency in Python and ML frameworks such as PyTorch or TensorFlow.
Expertise in MLOps pipeline design, model deployment, monitoring, and lifecycle management at enterprise scale.
Experience with cloud ML services (AWS SageMaker, Azure ML, or equivalent) and large-scale system design.
U.S. citizenship required; must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust investigation.
Experience in aviation/safety-critical systems, Responsible AI frameworks, or LLM integration is preferred.
