The AI Data Scientist will design and deliver advanced applied AI, machine learning, and generative AI solutions for complex fintech and payments use cases. Working across high-volume transaction data, this role involves owning the end-to-end data science lifecycle, including problem formulation, feature engineering, model development, and deployment. You will build scalable AI/ML pipelines and production-ready capabilities for merchant intelligence, fraud risk, forecasting, and authorization optimization. Key technologies include Python, SQL, PyTorch, scikit-learn, XGBoost, and Spark, alongside cloud platforms like Azure, AWS, Databricks, and Snowflake. You will also develop agentic AI solutions using RAG pipelines, LangGraph, and LlamaIndex. The role requires deep expertise in statistical modeling and anomaly detection to solve technical problems within the payments and financial services domain.
Design, develop, and deploy AI and machine learning solutions to solve complex fintech and payment business problems.
Own the end-to-end data science lifecycle from problem formulation and feature engineering to deployment and monitoring.
Apply advanced analytics to transaction use cases including fraud detection, forecasting, and authorization optimization.
Build scalable AI/ML pipelines using modern cloud platforms with a focus on observability and performance.
Create high-quality training and synthetic datasets while ensuring data privacy and responsible AI practices.
Develop generative and agentic AI solutions using RAG pipelines, tool-calling workflows, and multi-agent systems.
Adapt domain-specific models through prompt engineering, fine-tuning, and rigorous evaluation.
What we're looking for
5+ years of experience delivering high-impact AI solutions in technology, fintech, payments, financial services, research, or consulting organizations.
2+ years of hands-on experience developing LLM and generative AI solutions, including autonomous agents and production-grade RAG pipelines.
Experience building production-grade AI/ML solutions using cloud and data platforms such as Azure, AWS, Databricks, or Snowflake.
Strong programming skills in Python and SQL using frameworks like PyTorch, scikit-learn, XGBoost, and Spark.
Deep applied AI expertise in machine learning, deep learning, statistical modeling, experimentation, forecasting, anomaly detection, and model validation.
Strong fintech, payments, banking, or financial-services experience with practical knowledge of high-volume transactional data and financial-data controls.
Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, or another quantitative field.
Must currently possess valid and unrestricted U.S. work authorization.
