As an AI and ML Data Scientist, you will join the team to design, develop, and deploy advanced systems that transform complex, fragmented information into actionable intelligence for military and national security missions. You will build agentic AI capabilities, retrieval-augmented generation pipelines, evaluation frameworks, and prompt strategies to support discovery, analysis, and decision-making in contested environments. Your daily work involves processing structured and unstructured data, including text, reports, and geospatial data. To succeed, you must utilize Python and libraries such as PyTorch, Scikit-Learn, LangChain, LlamaIndex, Hugging Face, or CUDA. You will also apply skills in NLP, multi-agent architectures, vector databases, and semantic search. The role addresses critical challenges in defense intelligence, including all-source analysis and targeting, while ensuring systems are reliable, explainable, and secure for operationally constrained environments.
Design and develop agentic AI systems featuring multi-agent architectures and autonomous reasoning workflows.
Build retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) pipelines to extract relevant information from large datasets.
Develop and implement prompt engineering strategies and evaluation frameworks for LLM applications.
Process and integrate structured and unstructured data from diverse intelligence sources.
Create production-ready AI prototypes that are reliable, explainable, and secure for military use.
Translate complex military intelligence requirements into technical AI solutions and software capabilities.
Evaluate model performance regarding accuracy, hallucination mitigation, and mission-aligned criteria.
Develop automated workflows to support human-in-the-loop decision-making in national security environments.
What we're looking for
TS/SCI clearance is required.
Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, CS, AI, ML, Engineering, Operations Research, Applied Mathematics, or Statistics.
Experience developing and evaluating AI, ML, NLP, LLMs, and agentic AI using Python and libraries like PyTorch, Scikit-Learn, LangChain, LlamaIndex, Hugging Face, or CUDA.
Experience building agentic systems including autonomous agents, multi-step reasoning workflows, and retrieval-augmented generation (RAG).
Experience processing structured and unstructured data for military intelligence, national security, or operationally constrained environments.
Experience with prompt engineering, model benchmarking, fine-tuning, and synthetic data generation.
Knowledge of information retrieval, vector databases, semantic search, and data quality assessment.
Ability to translate military intelligence mission requirements into technical AI solutions and production-ready capabilities.
