AI Agents Applied Research Engineering Lead Vice President

What you'll do

• Lead the research and deployment of agentic AI systems featuring multi-step workflows and tool calling.
• Fine-tune and optimize LLMs using PEFT, distillation, and quantization to meet production latency and cost constraints.
• Apply reinforcement learning and preference optimization to improve personalization and dialogue policies.
• Scale LLM systems through caching, batching, prompt governance, and robust evaluation frameworks.
• Implement safety, security, and compliance controls including jailbreak resistance and auditability for high-stakes financial tasks.
• Design rigorous experiments with strong baselines and meaningful metrics to track agent performance.
• Define the technical research agenda and drive it from initial concept through production deployment.

What we're looking for

• Ph.D. with 1+ years or M.S. with 3+ years experience building and deploying AI systems in production.
• Applied GenAI experience including LLM fine-tuning, prompt engineering, and RAG.
• Experience scaling LLM systems using caching, batching, governance, and evaluation frameworks.
• Strong foundation in machine learning, deep learning, statistical modeling, and experimental design.
• Experience in Information Retrieval or recommendation systems.
• Proficiency in Python and ML frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, Hugging Face, and scikit-learn.
• Demonstrated ability to set a technical research agenda and drive it from concept through production deployment.
• Experience presenting technical strategy and research findings to senior leadership and non-technical stakeholders.
