AEGIS Tactical Action Officer (TAO) Instructor / Lab Mentor serves as a Training Specialist Senior responsible for training, coaching, and evaluating Navy personnel in tactical decision-making and combat-system employment. Working within simulated and laboratory-based environments, the individual will develop and execute scenarios involving complex, rapidly changing tactical situations to assess student situational awareness and watchstanding performance. The role involves mentoring students through exercises, providing real-time feedback, and integrating information from sensors, intelligence sources, and tactical networks. Key requirements include expertise in combat systems, missile defense, and curriculum modification. Candidates must possess extensive experience as a qualified TAO, Anti-Air Warfare Coordinator, Ballistic Missile Defense Officer, or Combat System Coordinator on an Aegis warship. The position focuses on preparing personnel for advanced watchstation qualifications while ensuring all training aligns with naval warfare doctrine and safety procedures.
Conduct advanced tactical training for Navy personnel in simulated and laboratory-based environments.

What we're looking for
Must be a U.S. citizen.
Must possess or be able to obtain a Secret security clearance.
Bachelor's degree in a related technical discipline or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
7 years of experience as a maintenance technician manager or operator manager with responsibility for teaching systems in a master level environment.
Experience as a qualified TAO, Anti-Air Warfare Coordinator, Ballistic Missile Defense Officer, or Combat System Coordinator on an Aegis warship is required.
Experience as an instructor in a Navy Training Environment including curriculum maintenance and evaluation.
Experience interfacing with training systems/simulations for the presentation of learning objectives.
Experience as a qualified AWCC, Master/Afloat Training Specialist, or Surface Warfare Tactics Instructor AQD is preferred.
