What you'll do

  • Lead a cross-functional team for the mechanical design and development of high-technology electronics on submarine platforms.
  • Act as a Product Owner to manage stakeholder interests in product-oriented design and development activities.

  • Ensure all designs comply with manufacturing methods, government standards, and industry requirements.
  • Write technical papers and proposals to communicate project goals and engineering specifications.
  • Identify and implement opportunities to use AI for continuous process improvement and innovation.

What we're looking for

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related Science, Engineering, Technology, or Mathematics field.
  • 5+ years of job-related experience, or a Master's degree plus 3 years of job-related experience.
  • U.S. citizenship is required.
  • Must be able to obtain a Department of Defense Secret security clearance.
  • Proficiency with modeling CAD tools to create mechanical models and drawings.
  • Extensive knowledge of manufacturing/fabrication methods and technical, government, and industry standards.
  • Experience leading complex projects and writing technical papers or proposals.
  • Product Owner for advanced technology insertion; design of maritime electronics; advanced manufacturing, testing, or analysis experience (preferred).
