What you'll do

  • Design mechanical, thermal, thermodynamic, and heat-transfer solutions for high-performance airborne electronic mission systems.

  • Lead the development of rugged mechanical structures and assemblies to protect mission-critical technologies.
  • Manage engineering projects from concept to delivery by monitoring schedules, budgets, and technical risks.
  • Apply manufacturing principles and industry standards to ensure products are reliable and manufacturable.
  • Integrate artificial intelligence into engineering processes to improve analysis and design efficiency.
  • Provide technical recommendations and contribute to proposal development for program strategy and customer needs.
  • Mentor junior engineers in mechanical engineering principles and project execution.

What we're looking for

  • U.S. citizenship is required.
  • Ability to obtain a Department of Defense Secret security clearance is required.
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related STEM field and 5+ years of job-related experience are required.
  • A Master's degree plus 3 years of job-related experience is an acceptable educational alternative.
  • Proficiency with Creo and Windchill for 3D modeling and product lifecycle management is required.
  • Experience leading engineering projects or technical teams through product development and delivery is required.
  • Experience designing products for airborne, aerospace, defense, or high-reliability environments (preferred).
  • Experience performing thermal or structural analysis using ANSYS Icepak or ANSYS Workbench (preferred).
