Acoustics Engineering Project Manager, Microphone

What you'll do

• Manage the technology roadmap, project definition, and development schedules for new microphone modules.
• Drive the closure of architecture and technical opens during the early stages of projects.
• Plan and manage microphone engineering builds by directing vendors and sub-tier suppliers.
• Identify technical and schedule risks and develop mitigation strategies with affected teams.
• Execute day-to-day project activities and lead reviews among engineering stakeholders and cross-functional partners.
• Communicate project status, risks, and issues to the development team and Apple executives.
• Oversee internal microphone and audio integration teams to ensure product deployment goals are met.

What we're looking for

• BS degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Physics is required.
• 5+ years of project management experience is required.
• Experience in shipping high-volume products or collaborating with industry manufacturing partners is required.
• Knowledge of technology and product development cycles is required.
• Excellent listening, communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills are preferred.
• Strong cross-functional coordination and project management skills are preferred.
• Ability to manage rapid development cycles while remaining adaptable and distilling relevant information is preferred.
• A strong technical background in electrical/mechanical engineering, advanced manufacturing, MEMS, ASIC, or semiconductor assembly is preferred.
