Life Insurance and Annuity Industry Integration Architect Lead

What you'll do

• Design end-to-end integration architectures including APIs, middleware, data flows, and service orchestration.
• Develop an integration strategy and roadmap aligned with business objectives and technology initiatives.
• Lead and mentor integration teams by providing guidance on best practices, tools, and frameworks.
• Act as the primary liaison between business teams, development teams, and external partners.
• Engage with potential clients to understand their needs and propose tailored integration solutions.
• Oversee development teams to ensure integration solutions meet client requirements and performance standards.
• Proactively identify risks related to integration dependencies and data flow.
• Monitor integration performance and drive continuous improvement through regular status reporting.

What we're looking for

• Minimum of 10 years of experience in enterprise integration architecture, software engineering, and large-scale system integration.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience designing and implementing REST APIs, asynchronous/event-based integrations, and ETL pipelines.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience with technologies such as MuleSoft, Spring Integration, Kafka, and API Gateways.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience with cloud architecture across AWS or Azure using containerized and Kubernetes models.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience defining API standards, security architecture, and authentication frameworks like OAuth2 and OIDC.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in the Life Insurance and Annuities domain including underwriting, policy administration, and claims.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience delivering technology solutions within insurance carrier environments or SaaS platforms.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
