2027 Quantitative Analytics Program – Risk Analytics and Decision Science (RADS PhD) – Early Careers is a twelve-month development program where participants work within the Quantitative Analytics team to solve complex business challenges using advanced analytics, artificial intelligence, and machine learning. Participants rotate through two six-month periods to develop and evaluate innovative solutions for risk management, customer experience, and business strategy. Day-to-day responsibilities include forecasting loss and revenue for credit card portfolios, developing credit scorecards, identifying money laundering patterns in large transaction databases, and predicting operational losses using statistical modeling. The role requires proficiency in Python, R, SQL, Spark, and Java, alongside skills in data visualization, research, and generative AI. This position addresses critical problems within the financial system by applying quantitative techniques to manage credit risk, detect fraud, and optimize strategies across large, real-world datasets.

What you'll do

  • Apply advanced analytics, artificial intelligence, and machine learning to solve complex business challenges.
  • Develop and evaluate innovative solutions for risk management, customer experience, and business strategy.
  • Forecast loss and revenue for credit card loan portfolios.
  • Build models to identify money laundering patterns across large transaction databases.
  • Predict operational losses using statistical and machine learning modeling techniques.
  • Apply quantitative methods to validate model design, calibration, and implementation.
  • Design and deploy models to inform decisions in credit risk and financial crime.
  • Use Python, R, SQL, or Spark to turn complex data into actionable insights.

What we're looking for

  • Must have 2+ years of Quantitative Analytics experience or equivalent through work, training, or education.
  • Must possess a Master's degree or higher in statistics, mathematics, physics, engineering, computer science, economics, or a quantitative discipline.
  • Currently pursuing a PhD with an expected graduation between December 2026 and June 2027, or completed a PhD after May 2024 while completing a postdoc (preferred).
  • Must possess excellent programming skills using statistical software packages such as Python, R, SQL, Spark, and Java.
  • Must have strong quantitative and analytical skills to apply data analysis, modeling, visualization, statistics, research, and generative AI.
  • Must be able to execute with urgency and use data and software engineering skills to deliver scalable solutions.
  • Must possess strong communication skills and the ability to work in collaborative settings while fostering an inclusive environment.
  • Must have strong business acumen, understanding of capital markets, and the ability to act with integrity regarding risk assessments (preferred).
