JOB DESCRIPTION
The Senior Security Engineer, will partner with System Engineers, Security Engineers, Compliance, and Access Governance to secure cloud environments, threat detection and response engineering for Green Dot Cloud's services. You will be an integral part of the Green Dot security engineering processes, responsible for the discovery, assessment, triage, and remediation of security events and threats impacting Green Dot’s Cloud. You will be identifying gaps in identity and access management coverage, recommending and implementing controls to mitigate security risk against multiple disciplines, and operating systems to automate detection and remediation for protecting Green Dot's services.
A successful candidate will have experience operating as a security engineer. This will include administration of security tools, experience with evaluating systems for risk and recommending control improvements that align to established policy.
What you'll do:
- Proactively identify risks and malicious activity in our infrastructure and systems, with a strong focus on improving IAM controls
- Manage IAM security systems and continuously improve their performance
- Review existing security processes and recommend improvements to enhance capabilities and efficiency
- Analyze systems, logs, events, and alerts for signs of malicious activity
- Drive implementation of countermeasures, mitigations, and containment
- Collaborate with engineering, IT, and other security teams to develop scalable and flexible solutions for defending Green Dot’s Cloud from low-level actors to nation state actors
- Build, cultivate, and maintain positive relationships with internal customers to identify and facilitate solutions to increase the impact of the team's work
- Provide feedback into Green Dot products, modules, and services to improve cybersecurity capabilities as an internal customer with real-world experiences.
- Be on periodic on-call for triage of critical alerts from detections
We're looking for someone with:

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, IT or other relevant degree or equivalent work experience

4+ years of experience in a technical role such as security, network or system engineering
- 2+ years of experience with information security or identity and access management tools
- Solid understanding of modern attacker tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs) (e.g. MITRE ATT&CK, building threat intelligence, etc.)
- Experience with system administration, preferably focused on IAM systems like Sailpoint, Saviynt, Okta, etc.
- Working with industry security and risks standards (e.g. PCI DSS, SOC2, ISO 27001, CIS Benchmarks) for sensitive data protections

The targeted full-time base salary for this position is $113,400 to $162,000 per year. The final compensation will be determined by a number of factors such as qualifications, expertise, and the candidate’s geographical location.

Job Summary
Green Dot Corporation is seeking for an experienced Senior Security Engineer with a strong focus on assessing Security Architecture with hands-on experience in performing security assessments and tests across on-premises and Azure cloud environments. The ideal candidate will be responsible for conducting comprehensive security reviews of the infrastructure, performing manual security assessments, identifying vulnerabilities, and recommending appropriate mitigation strategies.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive security assessments and penetration tests on on-premises networks and Azure cloud environments, including manual and automated testing of network controls, firewalls, and cloud-native security features.
- Evaluate network security posture throughout design, implementation, and deployment phases, ensuring alignment with enterprise security standards.
- Collaborate with application security architects to understand and integrate secure design principles into network infrastructure.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams (IT, DevOps, Application Development, Enterprise Architecture) to uncover vulnerabilities and drive remediation efforts.
- Integrate security controls and automated testing into CI/CD pipelines for network and cloud deployments.
- Review and enhance network architecture by identifying threats, risks, and compliance gaps specific to Azure services (e.g., Azure Firewall, Network Security Groups, Azure Gateway).
- Provide guidance on identity and access management (IAM), data protection, and secure connectivity between on-premises and cloud resources.
- Develop and enforce network security policies, standards, and best practices aligned with industry frameworks (e.g., NIST, CIS Benchmarks, OWASP).
- Stay current with emerging network security trends, Azure security enhancements, and evolving threat landscapes.
- Prepare security assessment reports and communicate findings to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Participate in incident response activities related to network or application security events.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of professional experience in network security, including hands-on experience with on-premises and Azure cloud environments.
- Strong understanding of application security architecture and its integration with network security.
- Experience conducting manual and automated network security assessments, scanning and penetration testing.
- Familiarity with secure software development lifecycle (SSDLC) and DevSecOps practices.
- Knowledge of Azure security tools and services: Azure Firewall, Network Security Groups, Security Center/Defender, Key Vault, etc.
- Strong communication skills to advise and collaborate with teams across the enterprise.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., Azure Security Engineer Associate, CISSP, CEH, CCSP) are a plus.

Job Summary
Green Dot Corporation is seeking an experienced and highly motivated IT Compliance Manager to lead our technical compliance and control testing efforts within Information Security team. This role is responsible for managing a team of compliance analysts, driving control validation activities, and ensuring our IT environment meets regulatory and internal policy requirements. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with deep technical knowledge, strong leadership skills, and a passion for proactive risk management.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design, execution, and continuous improvement of IT control testing programs against an industry standard control framework.
- Own the lifecycle of technical control assessments—from scoping and evidence collection to testing, documentation, and remediation tracking.
- Collaborate with engineering, infrastructure, and application teams to validate control effectiveness and drive remediation of gaps.
- Develop and maintain compliance dashboards, metrics, and executive reporting to communicate risk posture and progress.
- Lead IT compliance initiatives including FFIEC, PCI DSS, SOX, GLBA, and other regulatory frameworks.
- Champion a culture of compliance across the broader IT organization.
- Stay ahead of regulatory changes and emerging risks to ensure compliance strategies remain current and effective.
Required Qualifications
