As a Zero Trust Engineer, you will join the team to manage data assets and deliver leading-edge solutions aligned with the ZTA Data Pillar. You will perform architecture assessments, gap analyses, and develop compliance roadmaps while tracking maturity objectives for enterprise environments across cloud, hybrid, and on-premise systems. Your daily responsibilities include creating technical documentation, designing implementation plans, and integrating data protection through tools such as Data Classification, Tagging, Security Posture Management, Rights Management, Loss Prevention, and SIEM/SOAR systems. You will ensure compliance with NIST SP 800-53 and NIST SP 800-207 standards. The role requires expertise in Azure, AWS, Keycloak, and various access control models like RBAC, TBAC, and ABAC. You must possess a Secret clearance to solve complex security challenges within IL5 and IL6 environments while collaborating with internal infrastructure teams.

What you'll do

Perform Zero Trust Architecture assessments and gap analyses.
Design and document implementation plans aligned with the ZTA Data Pillar.
Develop and track progress for the Zero Trust compliance roadmap.
Integrate Zero Trust principles into cloud, hybrid, and on-premise enterprise environments.
Align all implementations with NIST SP 800-53 and NIST SP 800-207 standards.
Implement data protection through classification, tagging, and security posture management tools.
Deploy and manage Data Rights Management and Data Loss Prevention tools.
Integrate security protections using SIEM and SOAR tools.

What we're looking for

3+ years of experience with cybersecurity, identity engineering, or cloud security.
Experience with cloud platforms like Azure or AWS, related identity systems, and Keycloak.
Experience writing data tagging policy within an automated tool and identifying sensitive information types.
Experience with RBAC, TBAC, ABAC, and policy-based access controls.
Knowledge of Zero Trust principles and NIST/DoD Zero Trust Architecture guidance.
Secret clearance required.
HS diploma or GED.
IAT II Certification (preferred).
