Voice Systems Engineer

What you'll do

• Design and maintain RF and voice systems at data center facilities.
• Plan site layouts, channels, talkgroups, and system capacity for land mobile radio systems.
• Configure and program LMR infrastructure, including repeaters, consoles, and subscriber radios.
• Troubleshoot RF, IP backhaul, and system-level faults while documenting findings for maintenance.
• Perform field testing, installation, and cutover for radio systems with customer teams.
• Use RF prediction tools to meet in-building and on-street reliability targets.
• Manage encryption, interoperability, and public-safety feature sets for communication systems.

What we're looking for

• Bachelor’s degree in a STEM discipline and 2+ years of professional land mobile radio systems engineering experience.
• 5+ years of professional land mobile radio systems engineering experience without a degree.
• Experience designing or supporting land mobile radio systems, including site layout, channel and talkgroup planning, and capacity.
• Working knowledge of RF coverage principles, including site placement, ERP, antennas, and field or drive-test validation.
• Hands-on experience configuring and programming LMR infrastructure and subscriber radios, including codeplugs and firmware.
• Ability to troubleshoot RF, IP backhaul, and system-level faults and document findings.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to work in tight quarters with physical dexterity.
• Must be a U.S. citizen, national, lawful permanent resident, refugee, asylee, or eligible for required Department of State authorizations.
