(USA) Staff, Application Security Engineer joins an elite security team to develop application security strategies specifically for AI-assisted development across the SDLC and CI/CD pipelines. This individual contributor role involves establishing architecture patterns for safe use of AI coding assistants like IDEs, CLIs, and PR bots while ensuring data-handling and model interaction boundaries are maintained. The engineer will build secure coding standards for AI-generated code, pre-train and fine-tune enterprise AI coding agents on vetted libraries, and create developer blueprints that embed secure defaults into templates. Key responsibilities include quantifying defect rates between human and AI contributions, orchestrating security tools to automate remediation workflows, and mentoring teams on prompt safety. The role requires expertise in application security, machine learning, and various programming languages to solve the technical challenge of securing automated code generation.
Develop Application Security strategies for AI-assisted development across the SDLC and CI/CD pipelines.

What we're looking for
Candidates must have a Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, engineering, information systems, cybersecurity, or a related field.
Candidates must have 4 years of experience in application security or a related area at a technology, retail, or data-driven company.
Alternatively, candidates may qualify with 6 years of experience in application security or a related area at a technology, retail, or data-driven company.
Experience in Application Security and Machine Learning is required.
Proficiency in developing code languages and a passion for Artificial Intelligence are required.
Candidates should have experience establishing strategy and best practices for AI-assisted development.
Preferred certifications include Security+, GISF, CISSP, CSSP, CASE, or GWEB.
A Master's degree in a related technical field and 2 years of experience leading information security projects is preferred.
