What you'll do

Review and optimize complex analytical SQL queries to improve performance, reliability, and compute efficiency.
Improve infrastructure efficiency across workflows, datasets, storage, and compute resources.
Build automation for recurring operational work such as scheduled workloads, monitoring, and alerts.
Enhance development and DevOps practices for analytics code, including source control and job scheduling.
Provide hands-on technical consultation to help analytics teams diagnose issues and improve their data pipelines.
Independently own technical initiatives from initial investigation through implementation and ongoing improvement.
Drive measurable improvements in performance, reliability, and cost-efficiency across analytical workloads.

What we're looking for

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Statistics, or related field and 2 years' experience in data analytics or related field.
4 years' experience in data analytics or related field.
Strong hands-on proficiency in SQL, including complex analytical queries, joins, performance optimization, and large scale workloads.
Strong hands-on proficiency in Python, including coding, debugging, and automation.
Hands-on experience with cloud platforms, analytical data warehouses, and workflow orchestration tools.
Experience with DevOps practices including source control, job scheduling, configuration, deployment, and monitoring.
Demonstrated ability to independently diagnose complex technical problems and drive solutions through implementation.
Experience with GCP, BigQuery, and Airflow in a large scale Analytics or data environment (preferred).
