As a UI Engineer North Carolina Hybrid, you will join the Circuit team within the Cisco AI and Automation portfolio. You will deploy these services on Google Cloud Platform using Git-based version control. This role solves the technical challenge of providing high-performance, reliable AI-driven productivity tools for large-scale business transformation.

What you'll do

  • Develop and maintain responsive web applications for AI features using Angular, TypeScript, HTML5, and CSS3.
  • Translate Figma designs into pixel-accurate, accessible, and component-based user interfaces.
  • Integrate front-end applications with REST APIs and build supporting Node.js services or BFF layers.
  • Build, package, and deploy web front ends and Node.js services on Google Cloud Platform.
  • Maintain reusable UI libraries that align with the company's design system and accessibility standards.
  • Debug and resolve UI issues in both development and production environments.
  • Contribute to CI/CD pipelines to ensure reliable and repeatable software releases.

What we're looking for

  • Bachelor’s degree with 7+ years, Master’s degree with 4+ years, or PhD with 1+ year of related experience in Computer Science or a technical field.
  • 4+ years of experience building and troubleshooting web applications using Angular, TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3.
  • Hands-on experience developing server-side functionality with Node.js and integrating applications with REST APIs and JSON data structures.
  • Demonstrated ability to translate Figma designs into component-based, design-system-aligned UI using modern architectures.
  • Proficiency in deploying applications on Google Cloud Platform and working within Git-based version control and Agile development methodologies.
  • Experience building web-based AI applications (LLM/chatbot/agent UIs, streaming/token-by-token rendering, real-time updates) (preferred).
  • Experience contributing to CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, Cloud Build, or similar (preferred).
  • Familiarity with GraphQL, unit/component testing frameworks (Jest, Vitest, or Karma), Docker, and WCAG 2.2 standards (preferred).
