TL;DR · Training Simulation Engineer

Join the Deployments Training Team as a Training Simulation Engineer and help shape Anduril’s software-based training environments. You will design and implement web frameworks using TypeScript, React, and RxJS to interact with Lattice OS through xAPI for tracking and recording training scenarios. Your day-to-day involves building full-stack features, integrating flight simulations, creating NPC logic, and developing scalable modules tailored to various customer contexts. With a solid foundation in modern algorithms and data structures, you will work across the stack to optimize communication between front-end and back-end systems while identifying pain points and improving training experiences. Required skills include experience with JavaScript/TypeScript, C++, Rust, or Golang, automated testing tools, and version control software, along with empathy for fellow engineers.

What you'll do

  • Design and implement full stack features for end-user trainer scenario construction.
  • Integrate flight simulations and other emulators for Anduril robot representations in simulation environments.
  • Create NPC logic to simulate realistic training scenarios with neutral scene noise and adversary behaviors.
  • Develop scalable modules adaptable to various customer contexts for customized training solutions.
  • Identify pain points and improve the training ecosystem through innovative technical solutions.

What we're looking for

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent industry experience.
  • 3+ years of software engineering experience.
  • Proficiency with TypeScript, React, and RxJS for web application development.
  • Experience with CMI5/xAPI and integration with Learning Management Systems.
  • Knowledge of backend programming languages like C++, Rust, or Golang.
