The Technical Project Manager joins the Strategy, Planning, and Operations team within Splunk Global Security to transform security priorities into executable programs and measurable outcomes. This role involves leading technically complex cybersecurity programs across engineering, product, and compliance teams. You will manage initiatives spanning security engineering, cloud infrastructure security, identity and access management, and vulnerability remediation. Day-to-day responsibilities include analyzing architectures and data flows to identify gaps, developing runbooks, and using metrics and dashboards to surface material risks. Required skills include experience with secure SDLC, NIST, ISO, PCI, and SOC 2 frameworks. You must demonstrate proficiency in AI-enabled tools for workflow automation and possess a deep understanding of solution tradeoffs to communicate effectively with engineering teams while improving customer trust and security resilience.
Analyze architectures, data flows, and engineering dependencies to identify gaps and unblock technical decisions.
Use metrics, dashboards, and audit evidence to surface material risks and maintain team accountability.
Launch security capabilities by developing runbooks, support handoffs, and customer assurance inputs.
Coordinate with go-to-market and awareness teams to ensure new capabilities land and operate at scale.
Manage program metrics, executive updates, and decision records for globally distributed teams.
What we're looking for
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
4+ years of experience in technical program management, security program management, security engineering operations, or a related technical delivery role.
2+ years of experience driving cybersecurity, cloud, infrastructure, enterprise software, compliance, audit readiness, or risk-reduction programs.
2+ years of experience working with security domains including secure SDLC, vulnerability management, IAM, cloud security, or frameworks like NIST, ISO, PCI, SOC 2, or FedRAMP.
1+ year of experience working with architecture, data flows, control design, and infrastructure dependencies to identify risks and communicate with engineering teams.
2+ years of experience driving cross-functional technical execution across product, engineering, security, compliance, and business stakeholders.
1+ year of experience using AI-enabled tools to improve analysis, documentation, reporting, or workflow automation.
Cybersecurity, cloud, or program management certification such as Security+, CISSP, CISM, PMP, PMI-ACP, CSM, AWS, Azure, or GCP (preferred).
