Systems Integration Engineer
The Systems Integration Engineer joins the Intel Sector team to support a prototype development program focused on rapid prototyping and advanced technology research. This role involves installing, configuring, developing, and integrating prototype applications for technical evaluation within a lab environment to support customer experiments. The engineer will manage hardware installations like servers and network infrastructure, set up storage solutions, and implement security best practices including PKI certificate generation. Key technical requirements include strong Linux experience, Unix shell scripting in Bash, Bourne, or C, and familiarity with tools such as nginx, Docker, RedHat Satellite, AWS, Terraform, SALT, Ansible, Prometheus, and Grafana. The role addresses critical intelligence needs by providing solutions for mission-critical data sources and tradecraft within the domains of Security Engineering, Computer Network Operations, Mission Software, Analytical Methods, Modeling, Signals Intelligence, and Cryptographic Key Management.
Install, configure, and develop prototype applications for technical evaluation in a lab environment.
Provide technical support for customers developing and testing experiments within the laboratory.
Perform system and network administration tasks to maintain infrastructure stability.
Manage hardware installations including servers, network infrastructure, and network-attached storage.
Implement security best practices including PKI certificate generation, deployment, and maintenance.
Develop scripts using Unix shell languages such as Bash, Bourne, or C.
Deploy and maintain web services using nginx and manage environments with Docker and RedHat Satellite.
Utilize Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform, SALT, and Ansible for system automation.
What we're looking for
Candidates must possess an active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph.
Must possess an IAT-I certification, such as Network+, A+, or Security+.
Degree in Network Engineering, Systems Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field is required.
Bachelor's degree plus experience, Master's plus , Associate's plus , or High School/GED plus are acceptable.
Experience must be in computer/information systems design, programming, security, vulnerability analysis, forensics, or systems engineering.
Must have experience in network or system administration and strong Linux experience.
Experience installing hardware (servers, network infrastructure), setting up storage, and implementing PKI certificate management is required.
Knowledge of Unix shell scripting languages like Bash, Bourne, or C; familiarity with Docker, RedHat Satellite, AWS, IaC tools, and SELinux is preferred.
