The System Technologist joins the Software Enterprise Deployment and Integration team to deliver critical technology solutions for the public safety sector. Additionally, you must be proficient in executing bash scripts and Windows executables. This role supports essential public safety infrastructure including Computer Aided Dispatch, Records Management Systems, Jail Management Systems, and Mobile Data Computing systems to improve response times for first responders.

What you'll do

  • Upgrade customer servers with the latest software releases.
  • Migrate legacy databases into new database structures.

  • Execute bash scripts and Windows executables to maintain system functionality.
  • Provide technical support and ensure delivery on contracted service level agreements.
  • Manage customer issues from initial report through final resolution.
  • Maintain web services using nginx and tomcat environments.

What we're looking for

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 2+ years of experience in technical customer support and/or technical business analysis roles.
  • Ability to obtain background clearance as required by government customers.
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. indefinitely.
  • Experience with Windows and Linux servers, including basic Linux command line navigation and file structure.
  • Experience with SQL, specifically PostgreSQL schema structures or other object-relational database structures.
  • Experience with nginx and tomcat web services.
  • Basic knowledge of Motorola Flex software suite (preferred).
