What you'll do

  • Apply Systems Engineering principles to the design and development of aircraft and their systems.
  • Support current Systems Engineering processes and drive their use for future projects and programs.
  • Assist in requirements development using Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) methods.
  • Coordinate with aircraft system owners to ensure process adherence and program objective alignment.
  • Utilize requirements management databases and tools such as IBM DOORS and Siemens Teamcenter.
  • Create models within the MATLAB application to support engineering objectives.
  • Learn to manage requirements validation, verification, change management, and process assurance.

What we're looking for

  • Must be enrolled as a full-time student actively pursuing a bachelor's degree or higher.
  • Must maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher (unrounded) as listed on the resume.
  • Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
  • Must have reliable transportation to work onsite in Savannah, GA.
  • Typical majors include Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Electrical Engineering.
  • Familiarity with MATLAB and creating models in the application (preferred).
  • Interest or experience in Systems Engineering (SE) or Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) (preferred).
  • Preferred classes include Propulsion and Fluid Dynamics, Aerodynamics, and Aircraft Flight Dynamics (preferred).
