The Staff Software Engineer joins the engineering team to address complex business and technical needs by assessing software gaps and translating customer requirements into technical solutions. You will design and develop robust, scalable Rest APIs using Reactive Java, Cassandra, and Cosmos within microservices and event-driven architectures. Daily responsibilities include creating Spark jobs, building asynchronous pipelines using Kafka, and designing scalable schemas. You will perform maintenance engineering, troubleshoot performance bottlenecks, and conduct regression testing to fix defects. Key tasks involve converting high-level designs into detailed software designs using mock screens and pseudo codes. You will also drive automation scripts for CI/CD processes, implement telemetry features, and ensure the product meets high-availability and high-scalability needs while collaborating with other programmers to maintain and improve existing codebases.

What we're looking for
Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field and 4 years of software engineering experience.
Master's degree in computer science or related field and 2 years of software engineering experience.
Experience designing and developing robust, scalable Rest APIs using Reactive Java, Cassandra, and Cosmos using SOA, microservices, and event-driven architecture.
Experience designing and developing robust, scalable Rest APIs using Java in a microservice architecture.
Experience developing Spark jobs for business requirements and generating reports.
Experience building asynchronous pipelines using Kafka in an event-driven architecture.
Experience writing scalable Cassandra and Cosmos queries and designing scalable schemas.
Experience participating in small to large-scale engineering projects, including requirement translation, unit testing, and production go-live support.
