What you'll do

Coordinate the activities of other engineers as a project or system leader.

Reconcile competing priorities regarding time, quality, and complexity to identify optimal solutions.
Collaborate with management to set and improve standards for engineering rigor.
Lead complex architectural discussions and author architecture decision records.
Identify product gaps and collaborate with internal teams to define necessary development.
Lead root cause analysis for production incidents and troubleshoot technical issues.

What we're looking for

5+ years of relevant experience and a Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Proficiency in at least one backend language such as Java, Go, or Python (preferred).
Experience in backend development, including designing and implementing scalable, reliable RESTful services (preferred).
Experience with at least one cloud platform such as GCP, AWS, or Azure (preferred).
Advanced skills with relational and NoSQL data stores, including database design and data modeling (preferred).
Experience with caching solutions, messaging systems, containers, and Kubernetes (preferred).
Proven ability to mentor junior engineers and contribute to code reviews and design discussions (preferred).
Experience building and operating low-latency, high-throughput systems with strong observability practices (preferred).
