Staff Software Engineer

What you'll do

• Define the technical vision and long-term strategy for the real-time content personalization platform.
• Lead the architectural design of a high-scale rules and logic engine with millisecond response times.
• Integrate GenAI and machine learning models into the platform to improve content selection.
• Manage complex, end-to-end technical initiatives while managing risks across multiple system layers.
• Build reusable tools and testing infrastructure to increase deployment speed for other product teams.
• Provide technical leadership, design reviews, and actionable feedback to mentor senior engineers.
• Identify and resolve systemic technical debt and tooling deficiencies to improve overall team productivity.

What we're looking for

• 7+ years of experience delivering enterprise-class applications with a focus on backend development and API design.
• Proficiency in mid-tier and backend functional languages, specifically TypeScript, Java, and/or Scala.
• Deep expertise in scalable microservices architecture, messaging patterns, Kubernetes, Docker, and Terraform.
• Strong experience in relational database schema design, NoSQL, ORM concepts, and high-volume data pipelining.
• Proficiency in integrating and evaluating functional AI models and LLM prompting in production environments.
• Solid foundation in OOP, algorithms, web application internals, test automation, and CI/CD best practices.
• BS/MS in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Preferred experience with SaaS platforms, large-scale financial systems, GraphQL, and Node.js.
