Staff Software Engineer, Core Infrastructure

What you'll do

• Design, develop, and deliver cloud-based infrastructure projects using Redis, Docker, Terraform, and AWS.
• Drive the evaluation, development, and rollout of new common features and frameworks.
• Operate, support, and scale shared services and frameworks to handle growing business usage.
• Conduct design and code reviews while maintaining high standards through unit and functional testing.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and fix issues within owned services and frameworks.
• Evaluate system performance to identify and resolve technical bottlenecks.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers.

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent; master's preferred.
• 8+ years of expansive programming experience in an object-oriented language like Java, especially in backend services.
• 3+ years of experience working with MySQL or equivalent relational database systems.
• 3+ years of experience developing, operating, optimizing, and troubleshooting web services on Kubernetes.
• Experience with Spring, Spring Boot, Hibernate, Tomcat, AWS, Redis, and Docker.
• Demonstrated experience working with ReST and thorough understanding of its fundamentals.
• Knowledge of network security, authentication, and authorization.
• Must be able to establish U.S. Person status (e.g., U.S. Citizen, National, Lawful Permanent Resident, Refugee, or Asylee).
