Staff Security Engineer

What you'll do

• Architect and scale sophisticated security services to neutralize evolving threats across the global ecosystem.
• Perform in-depth threat analysis and root cause analysis during high-stakes incident investigations in hybrid-cloud environments.
• Write modular code in Python, Go, or Ruby to automate detection logic and scale response capabilities.
• Experiment with AI/ML techniques to enhance cyber defense capabilities and transition research into production.
• Establish engineering standards for detection rules, query optimization, and technical documentation.
• Design and tune detection systems across log, network, and endpoint telemetry to improve signal fidelity.
• Manage high-level escalations during incidents while identifying and adopting best practices for response teams.
• Make complex engineering and risk tradeoffs regarding security, privacy, and development velocity.

What we're looking for

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related technical field.
• 8+ years of professional experience in security engineering, threat detection, or client platform engineering.
• Expertise in designing and tuning detection systems across log, network, and endpoint telemetry.
• Experience leading cross-functional security and privacy projects from inception through global operations.
• Ability to manage high-level incident response escalations and perform deep root cause analysis.
• Proficiency in writing modular code for automation using Python, Go, or Ruby.
• Proven track record of technical writing including ERDs, developer documentation, and post-mortems.
• Master’s degree or PhD and 10+ years of experience in a cybersecurity leadership role (preferred).
• Advanced expertise in leveraging AI/ML for security use cases and building device attestation tools (preferred).
