Staff Machine Learning Engineer

What you'll do

• Build machine learning and backend systems to turn product visions into revenue-generating products.
• Own a product vertical end-to-end by identifying opportunities and driving key business metrics.
• Prioritize tasks and make critical technical decisions to ship products quickly in ambiguous environments.
• Act as a technical partner in customer relationships to grow accounts and provide value.
• Design and operate production ML systems across the full path from data to serving.
• Develop pipelines for GenAI, LLM systems, and multimodal data evaluation.
• Align customers, product, and engineering teams to drive business growth.

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's or equivalent work experience in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related discipline.
• Master's or PhD in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related discipline (preferred).
• 5+ years of professional experience designing, building, and operating production ML systems, including strong backend engineering.
• Track record of owning a product or product line and driving business metrics such as revenue, adoption, or customer value.
• Fluency in Python for machine learning and a production systems language such as Go, Java, or C++.
• Excellent communication skills to align customers, product, and engineering teams.
• Experience growing a product or business line in a startup or startup-like environment (preferred).
• Experience with GenAI, LLM systems, or specific UAIS domains like physical world data and agentic RL (preferred).
