What you'll do

  • Develop and execute commodity strategies for sensors and optics to improve cost, quality, and supply chain resilience.
  • Lead the RFI/RFQ/RFP process and manage strategic sourcing for all sensor and optics components.
  • Manage relationships with Contract Manufacturers to ensure continuity of supply, risk management, and production execution.
  • Perform detailed TCO analysis on quote submissions to make data-driven decisions regarding the supply chain.
  • Negotiate commercial agreements with suppliers to establish best-in-class pricing, quality, and service terms.
  • Partner with Engineering teams to influence technical design specifications and customize manufacturing requirements.
  • Oversee supplier performance management by tracking key metrics for delivery, quality, cost, and innovation.
  • Provide technical direction and conduct regular technology reviews for executive leadership regarding product lifecycle strategy.

What we're looking for

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, engineering, or a related technical field.
  • 10+ years of experience in supply chain commodity management for sensors/optics manufacturing or sourcing engineering.
  • Ability to travel up to 50% of the time.
  • Ability to relocate to and work onsite in Costa Mesa, CA.
  • Experience in defense, aerospace, automotive, or high-tech industries is preferred.
  • Proficiency in TCO analysis for data-driven component and supplier selection.
  • Proven leadership skills to collaborate cross-functionally and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. TS clearance.
