What you'll do

Develop and execute commodity strategies for batteries focused on cost reduction, quality improvement, and supply chain resilience.
Lead the RFI/RFQ/RFP processes and strategic sourcing activities specifically for battery components.
Manage end-to-end business relationships with Contract Manufacturers to ensure continuity of supply and risk management.
Perform detailed TCO analysis on quote submissions to make data-driven decisions regarding supply chain elements.
Negotiate commercial agreements with suppliers to establish best-in-class pricing, quality, and delivery terms.
Partner with Engineering teams to influence technical design specifications and customize manufacturing requirements.
Oversee supplier performance management by tracking key metrics for delivery, quality, cost, and innovation.
Provide technical direction and guidance on product strategy throughout the entire battery component lifecycle.

What we're looking for

Bachelor's degree in supply chain, engineering, or a related technical field.
10+ years of experience in supply chain commodity management for battery manufacturing or sourcing engineering.
Ability to travel up to 50% of the time.
Ability to relocate to and work onsite in Costa Mesa, CA.
Preferred degree in electrical or electronics engineering.
Experience in defense, aerospace, automotive, or high-tech industries is preferred.
Proficiency in TCO analysis for data-driven component and supplier selection.
Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. TS clearance.
