Staff Engineer, Data Engineering

What you'll do

• Develop data strategies and architectures for complex requirements to solve large-scale distributed data challenges.
• Build and evolve cloud-native data platforms to support payment products, analytics, and AI/ML workloads.
• Lead the technical planning, backlog creation, and execution of design processes through to production delivery.
• Oversee the development of real-time and batch processing pipelines for structured and unstructured data.
• Implement and manage high-scale data warehouse solutions using SQL, Spark, and Python.
• Develop and implement automated tests to ensure application quality, performance, and scalability.
• Identify and resolve production issues in coordination with Support and Operations teams.
• Improve engineering standards, tooling, and processes to maintain system integrity and security.

What we're looking for

• Candidates must possess eligibility to work in the United States for any employer at the date of hire.
• A Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related technical field is typically required.
• Eight or more years of relevant experience are required.
• Seven or more years of experience in developing complex data platforms, distributed systems, SaaS, cloud solutions, and microservices are required.
• Six or more years of experience in Data Warehouse, Big Data, real-time/batch processing, and data standards are required.
• Four or more years of experience in Business Intelligence solutions are required.
• Two or more years of experience in AI/ML model development life cycle activities are required.
• Experience with SQL Server, HDFS, Elastic Search, Python, Spark, PySpark, R, and cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, or Azure) is required.
