Staff Engineer, Core Infrastructure

What you'll do

• Lead the architectural evolution of compute and networking stacks to address infrastructure gaps.
• Design and implement solutions to increase fleet-wide CPU utilization and accelerate ARM adoption.
• Direct technical strategies for multi-cloud resilience and rapid regional failover capabilities.
• Develop "Agentic" infrastructure tools to automate alert triaging and incident response.
• Implement zero-trust networking and service-to-service authorization across the core platform.
• Support large-scale ranking models and autonomous vehicle data ingestion through cross-functional collaboration.
• Mentor and scale the technical capabilities of mid-level engineers within the organization.

What we're looking for

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field (or equivalent practical experience).
• 8+ years of full-time Software Engineering work experience.
• Deep, hands-on proficiency in Go, Java, or C++.
• Demonstrated experience designing, building, and productionizing large-scale, high-availability infrastructure services.
• Proven track record of leading complex, multi-quarter technical initiatives from initial design through fleet-wide rollout.
• Deep knowledge of Kubernetes internals, container runtimes (CRI), and modern networking (CNI/Envoy) (preferred).
• Prior experience with hybrid-cloud or multi-cloud migrations and cost-optimization at a massive scale (preferred).
• Strong understanding of operating systems, Linux kernel performance tuning, and/or eBPF (preferred).
