The Automotive Vehicles team is seeking a Software Systems Engineer to contribute to the development and productization of cutting-edge autonomous vehicle solutions for NVIDIA. This role involves collaborating with multi-functional engineering teams to integrate various subsystems into our AV software platform while adhering to stringent automotive standards. Day-to-day responsibilities include developing architectures for SAE Level 2 to Level 4 technologies, characterizing vehicle interactions for data collection, and leading verification activities. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in systems engineering, robotics development, and experience with Model-Based Systems Engineering tools like Magic Cyber Systems Engineer/Cameo. Additionally, proficiency in Python and AI tooling is essential, as well as expertise in the V-Model methodology for advanced driver assistance systems.
Develop architectures for SAE Level 2 to Level 4 driver assistance technologies.
Characterize autonomous vehicle interactions based on vehicle requirements for data collection.
Drive verification activities including test strategy development and result prioritization.
Lead data analysis to inform design decisions aligned with system behavioral needs.
Analyze the impact of operational design domains (ODDs) on performance metrics.
What we're looking for
BS, MS, or PhD in a relevant engineering field or equivalent industry experience.
5+ years of proven industry experience in systems engineering or robotics development.
Strong analytics and architectural background in development and production settings.
Experience with Model-Based Systems Engineering methods and tools like Magic Cyber Systems Engineer/Cameo.
Deep technical expertise in robotic systems development, including sensing, perception, motion control.
Success applying the V-model to sophisticated engineering projects, especially autonomous vehicle systems.
