What you'll do

Design, develop, test, deploy, and support AI software components including foundation model training and LLM inference.
Implement similarity search, guardrails, model evaluation, experimentation, governance, and observability systems.
Utilize open-source and SaaS technologies such as AWS Ultraclusters, Huggingface, VectorDBs, and PyTorch.
Invent and introduce state-of-the-art LLM optimization techniques to improve performance, scalability, cost, latency, and throughput.
Contribute to the technical vision and long-term roadmap of foundational AI systems.
Translate scientific publications into production-ready AI techniques and scalable solutions.
Lead and mentor multiple engineering teams while influencing cross-functional stakeholders.

What we're looking for

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or AI plus 8 years of experience developing AI and ML algorithms or technologies.
Master's degree plus at least 6 years of experience developing AI and ML algorithms or technologies.
At least 8 years of experience programming with Python, Go, Scala, or Java.
8 years of experience deploying scalable and responsible AI solutions on cloud platforms (preferred).
Experience architecting, designing, developing, integrating, delivering, and supporting complex AI systems (preferred).
Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor multiple engineering teams and influence cross-functional stakeholders up to the VP level (preferred).
Experience developing AI and ML algorithms using Python, C++, C#, Java, or Golang (preferred).
Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or relevant technical field (preferred).
