The Staff AI Engineer joins the Intelligent Foundations and Experiences team to develop and deploy proprietary AI solutions central to the business. You will partner with cross-functional teams to design, test, and support AI software components, including foundation model training, large language model inference, agents, multi-agent workflows, similarity search, and guardrails. Key responsibilities include inventing optimization techniques for scalability, cost, and latency while setting the technical direction for enterprise-wide AI architecture and observability standards. You will utilize a broad stack including AWS Ultraclusters, Huggingface, VectorDBs, PyTorch, Python, Go, Scala, CUDA, and Java. This role solves the technical challenge of building responsible, high-performance AI infrastructure to deliver real-time, personalized customer experiences and scalable production systems within a complex banking environment.

Master's degree in Computer Science, AI, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related fields plus 6 years of experience developing AI and ML algorithms or technologies.
At least 8 years of experience programming with Python, Go, Scala, CUDA, or Java.
Experience designing AI systems with tradeoff decisions around cost, latency, throughput and accuracy (preferred).
8+ years of experience deploying scalable and responsible AI solutions on cloud platforms (preferred).
Experience architecting, designing, developing, integrating, delivering, and supporting complex AI systems (preferred).
Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor multiple engineering teams and influence cross-functional stakeholders up to the VP level (preferred).
Experience developing AI and ML algorithms or technologies using Python, C++, C#, Java, CUDA, or Golang (preferred).
