As a Sr Threat Intelligence Investigator within the Oracle Threat Intelligence Center, you will track and monitor various threat actors ranging from cybercriminals to Advanced Persistent Threat groups impacting OCI and its customers. You will lead investigations by analyzing suspected adversary campaigns, providing detailed attribution analysis, and developing remediation strategies. Your daily work involves managing large datasets, maintaining threat intelligence platforms, and producing high-quality reports for both technical and non-technical audiences. To succeed, you must possess expertise in OSINT research, cloud services, and multiple operating systems like Windows, UNIX/Linux, and macOS. You will also utilize structured queries to extract data from logs and develop detection signatures using YARA, Snort, Suricata, or Bro/Zeek. This role focuses on identifying indicators of compromise and tactics to proactively defend the OCI environment against emerging global threats.
Lead investigations into adversary campaigns across the OCI environment to provide actionable intelligence and remediation strategies.
Perform detailed attribution analysis to identify threat actors and inform proactive defense strategies.
Translate complex technical matters into clear communications for non-technical audiences and executive leadership.
Conduct post-incident reviews to document new threat intelligence and drive resolution actions with impacted teams.
Monitor emerging threats, vulnerabilities, and geopolitical issues to proactively enhance organizational defenses.
Manage and maintain threat intelligence platforms (TIPs) and related tools to streamline data workflows.
Develop and refine internal processes for the delivery of strategic, operational, and tactical intelligence.
Fulfill a high volume of time-sensitive intelligence requests from both internal and external customers.
What we're looking for
Must have 6 to 10+ years of experience in analytical and operational threat intelligence.
Experience tracking distinct APT groups and their methodologies is required.
A Bachelor or Master of Science degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, or equivalent practical experience is required.
Proficiency in conducting open-source intelligence (OSINT) research across various topics is required.
Must possess strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills to explain technical matters to non-technical audiences.
Knowledge of cloud services including storage, computing, and networking is required.
In-depth knowledge of Windows, UNIX/Linux, and macOS operating systems and their threat landscapes is required.
Experience in Incident Response, SOC, or Digital Forensics Analysis is preferred.
