What you'll do

Develop detailed technical specifications and designs for waterfall and XP projects.
Translate business and technical requirements into secure, robust, and scalable designs.
Ensure the integrity, security, and availability of databases through proactive monitoring.
Manage unstable applications by resolving incidents and troubleshooting escalated issues.
Evaluate the integration of SaaS and COTS packages into the current environment.
Develop operating procedures and user manuals for transitioning systems into routine operations.
Maintain the common I/O access subsystem and in-house database management utilities.
Perform capacity planning and testing processes for select system software upgrades.

What we're looking for

Must have a Bachelor Degree and 4 years of IT experience, a Technical Certification and 6 years of IT experience, or 8 years of IT experience.
Knowledge of application configuration and requirements definition and management.
Experience in Service Oriented Architecture (SOAP/REST) and Cloud computing (SaaS/IaaS/PaaS) technologies.
Knowledge of Big Data Analytics (HAVeN/HADOOP/Autonomy/Vertica) and Integration Technologies (Tibco/Informatica/CAS).
Knowledge of Mobile technologies (Phonegap/iOS/Android/Java/HTML5) and Web Technologies (HTML/CSS/Java/ASP.Net/PHP/Ruby/C#).
Proficiency in Scripting Languages (BASH/PERL/PYTHON/RUBY) and SDLC Methodologies (Agile/Scrum/Iterative Development).
Strong conceptual, creative, problem-solving, analytical, and oral/written communication skills.
Preferred: Bachelor Degree in Computer Science or IT, SQL Server experience, AWS experience, and experience with FACETS.
