What you'll do

Use PVSyst and SAM software to prepare accurate energy production estimates for utility-scale solar projects.
Analyze meteorological datasets using MCP methods to assess project resource characteristics.
Create and optimize conceptual project layouts using CAD and GIS software to maximize project value.
Coordinate with equipment manufacturers to gather technical information on PV modules, inverters, and racking systems.
Conduct site visits to support evaluation, suitability, and due diligence efforts.
Assist the development team with federal, state, county, and local permitting processes.
Provide technical responses to lender and independent engineer questions during the project financing process.
Support electrical engineering teams with system design and compliance efforts leading up to commercial operations.

What we're looking for

Bachelor’s degree in an engineering or related technical discipline such as Physics, Atmospheric Science, Earth Science, or Environmental Science.
2-4+ years of related experience in the renewable energy industry.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office products including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
Master’s degree in an engineering or other relevant science discipline (preferred).
Familiarity with energy modeling software including PVSyst and SAM (preferred).
Knowledge of meteorological data sources, MCP methods, and statistical analysis (preferred).
Experience modeling project economics and familiarity with NPV, IRR, and LCOE (preferred).
