Senior Staff Data Engineer

What you'll do

• Design and develop scalable data pipelines using Python, SQL, Java, or Scala within AWS environments.
• Define the technical strategy for data pipelines and shared capabilities across all business lines.
• Act as a trusted advisor to shape use cases and implementation for specific technology domains.
• Create and manage data strategy artifacts including governance policies, architecture blueprints, and product roadmaps.
• Research emerging trends in data and AI to develop a roadmap for integrating innovations into the platform.
• Mentor internal engineers and actively recruit new talent to build the technical community.
• Produce code samples, blog posts, and other materials to share knowledge across the organization.
• Drive engineering excellence by promoting reusable solutions and high standards for performance and resiliency.

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related quantitative field.
• Master's Degree in Computer Science or a related field (preferred).
• At least 9 years of experience in data engineering.
• At least 5 years of experience in data architecture.
• At least 3 years of experience building applications in AWS.
• At least 7 years of experience programming with Python, Java, or Scala.
• At least 6 years of experience designing and developing data pipelines.
• At least 4 years of experience in data modeling and designing end-to-end solutions using relational and non-relational databases.
