Senior Software Engineer, Web Platform

What you'll do

• Build developer tooling to improve product engineer productivity and application reliability.
• Own and scale the build, test, and CI systems for a large web monorepo.
• Drive fleet-wide changes and new framework capabilities across multiple engineering teams.
• Shape the technical direction of the platform through design documents and open-source contributions.
• Ensure reproducible, containerized builds from development through production.
• Diagnose and resolve slow, flaky, or non-hermetic builds within the monorepo.
• Mentor engineers and lead technical initiatives that impact company-wide services.

What we're looking for

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience, including 2+ years working on build systems, CI/CD, or developer tooling.
• 6+ years of professional software engineering experience, including 2+ years working on build systems, CI/CD, or developer tooling (preferred).
• Strong TypeScript and Node.js experience, including debugging and profiling Node processes and build tooling.
• Working knowledge of the modern JavaScript toolchain and at least one major web framework, ideally React.
• Hands-on experience with a large-scale build system in a monorepo, including diagnosing slow, flaky, or non-hermetic builds.
• Experience building and running CI/CD pipelines with reproducible, containerized builds from development through production.
• A track record of leading technical initiatives that affected many engineers or services.
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and service-oriented or distributed systems (preferred).
